Rookie Lifeguard Program
Our Rookie lifeguard program is targeted at those aged 12 years and older.
Our program is aimed at those who wish to progress from Junior Surf and look to begin working towards their Surf Lifeguard Award. The sessions are a mix of theory and outdoor training sessions, as well as regular expedition days.
Our Rookies fill out a Rookie lifeguard workbook to gain their Rookie Lifeguard Award and when they get close to the age of 14, they start preparing for their Surf Lifeguard exam.
We have experienced coaches who encourage our Rookies to have fun, get involved, and step out of their comfort zone.
The program is run four times a week. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings from 10 am till 12 pm.
We begin from Christmas week until the end of January, finishing off with a fun BBQ celebration.
