Distinguished Service Award for Kevin
Huge, Huge Congratulations to Kevin Thorburn, who was awarded a Distinguished Service Award, at the Eastern Region awards function on Saturday night. Kevin has been involved with the Onemana SLSC since its inception in the late 1980's. Kevin has contributed to the training of all our current lifeguards and his medical knowledge is invaluable. Kevin is part of the emergency callout squad based in Whangamata, and he is also a regional life guard examiner.. I'm pretty sure Kevin is not on Facebook so if you see him on the beach pass on your own congrats and thanks.
